The Southwest Equitable Land Access Working Group will host a community gathering to discuss the report and next steps at Fenceline Cider in Mancos. We hope to see you there!
Please join LPOSC for burgers, beers, and fireflies on Wednesday, July 19th. The viewing party will be generously hosted by Jerry and Karen Zink on their conserved property, Sunnyside Farm. Fireflies only appear in SW Colorado for a few weeks each year, so this gathering will provide a unique opportunity to view the fireflies before they leave in late July while enjoying food, drinks, and good company.
When: Wednesday, July 19th,7:30-9:30pm
Where: Sunnyside Farm
What to bring: layered clothing, a chair or blanket to sit on, and footwear that can get wet
Space is limited! Please RSVP by Tuesday, July 18th to claim your spot. Address provided upon RSVP.
$10 suggested donation supports LPOSC’s efforts to conserve land and water in Southwest Colorado, like this unique wetland firefly haven.
Fireflies in Colorado? Yes, it’s true – check out a recent Colorado Sun article about the relatively rare Western populations.
