Let’s celebrate with “Cocktails for Conservation” to raise money to protect Colorado’s open spaces.
Join us for Cocktails for Conservation during Snowdown. It’s our biggest fundraiser of the year. Enjoy an evening of great company, delicious food, and a fun silent auction, all in support of land conservation and outdoor recreation across La Plata Open Space Conservancy.

Colorado’s Diversion Measurement Installation Program
The Colorado Water Conservation Board is offering a valuable opportunity for qualified water users in our area. Through their Diversion Measurement Installation Program, eligible applicants in Water Division 7 can receive a free, professionally installed measurement device such as a flume or weir. Applications open in the coming weeks, and there will be an informational meeting on November 12th from 3:30-6:00pm at the Florida Grange in Durango. This is an excellent opportunity for local water users to meet measurement requirements at no cost.
